According to the Colombian Family Welfare Institute, Instituto de Bienestar Familiar (ICBF), in the last study carried out there were 1,714 cases of child maltreatment and abuse in Cali, of which 70% affected girls and boys between 10 and 14 years of age.

Events
In December 2016 we started with 15 children, carrying out recreational and cultural activities with the aim of seeking that the children of this community could spend moments of family and social integration at Christmas time.

Our history
Rembrandtplein Square-Amsterdam December 2015. On a cold, but cozy night I remembered past times when playing ball until sunset and riding a bicycle in the heavy rain were part of the great feats we lived in those unforgettable times. Many of those life-loving children are no longer with us for different reasons.
30 years later I reconnect with those times of childhood when I see our children enjoying every moment, but on the horizon, I glare at an unaware, blind and selfish society that erases the smiles of our children. At that precise moment Castaño mains amies foundation is born
